KCPQ Names Liz Rocca Assistant News Director

Tribune Broadcasting’s Fox affiliate KCPQ Seattle (DMA 13) today named Liz Rocca assistant news director, effective April 8.

Rocca will oversee the day-to-day editorial operations of the newsroom including short- and long-term content planning and assist News Director Erica Hill in implementing the overall mission of the newsroom.

Rocca most recently was managing editor at Seattle’s ABC affiliate KOMO and prior to that she was the executive producer of the station’s investigative team.

Rocca is a multiple Emmy Award and Edward Murrow Award winner with more than 30 years of experience in broadcast journalism. She is best known for her award-winning investigative series Terror on the Tracks that exposed how the nation’s freight trains are vulnerable to terrorism and triggered nationwide change in the ways railroad companies secure their trains.
