Kelvin Mize Named VP-GM Of KSWO

Raycom Media on Thursday appointed Kelvin Mize vice president and general manager of its ABC affiliate KSWO Wichita Falls, Texas-Lawton, Okla. (DMA 147). Raycom recently closed on the purchase of the station from Drewry Communications.

“Kelvin has already shown such strong leadership during his time as general manager at our Fox affiliate WTNZ in Knoxville, Tennessee,” said Brad Streit, Raycom Media Group VP. “Mize was a perfect choice to take on new challenges in Lawton and help us grow market share there.”

Mize was the general manager/general sales manager at WTNZ for four years. His career started at WCIA Champaign, IL, as an account executive.

He moved to KPLR St Louis and later to KMOV, also in St Louis.

His sales management career includes WFLI Chattanooga, Tenn.; KVVU Las Vegas; and Raycom’s WMC Memphis as a sales manager before leading WTNZ.

Mize is a graduate of the University of Southern Illinois with a degree in mass communications.
