KETV Omaha Helping Kids Get Back To School

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — The Salvation Army and Omaha ABC affiliate KETV are again teaming up to distribute new school supplies to needy kids.

Since 1998, the Back to School backpack program has helped thousands of children by providing them with backpacks, school supplies and free school health checks at locations across the metro.

The Salvation Army and KETV will distribute new backpacks and school supplies this Friday and Saturday at various locations across Omaha.

Supplies are being collected through Wednesday. New backpacks, pencils, pens, theme paper, rulers, glue and erasers can be dropped off at The Salvation Army Lied Renaissance Center, any Methodist Health System clinic or hospital, Kaplan University and participating McDonald’s restaurants.
