KEVN Expands Its Weekend News To One Hour

Fox affiliate KEVN Rapid City, S.D. (DMA 173), has expanded its weekend newscasts from 30 minutes to an hour beginning Saturday, Nov. 2.

KEVN News Director Jack Caudill said: “We are excited to make this change. It gives us a better opportunity to cover the news for our viewers with the depth that we strive for.”

Current weekend anchor Brendyn Medina will now be joined by co-anchor Tessa Thomas on the anchor desk on Saturday and Sunday. Medina has been with KEVN since March 2011. Thomas joined the KEVN team in May 2011. Both Brendyn and Tessa are graduates of Black Hills State University.

Darren Leeds continues his position as weekend meteorologist. Megan Thompson recently joined KEVN as weekend sports anchor.
