KHBS/KHOG Ups Kelly Johnson To Morning Anchor

Hearst duopoly KHBS (ABC)-KHOG (CW) Fort Smith-Fayetteville, Ark. (DMA 100), has promoted Kelly Johnson from multimedia journalist to anchor/reporter.

On Sept. 12, Johnson will join the 40/29 News Sunrise anchor team alongside Derek Burleson and Meteorologist Matt Devitt. 40/29 News Sunrise airs weekdays from 4:30 to 7 a.m. Viewers will recognize Johnson from her live morning reports from Fort Smith and the River Valley. Johnson has been part of the Sunrise team since April, when the newscast was expanded to 4:30 a.m.

Johnson is a graduate of Point Park University in Pittsburgh with a degree in broadcast journalism.
