KHOU Ups David Paul To Chief Meteorologist

Belo’s CBS affiliate KHOU Houston (DMA 10) announced Friday that veteran meteorologist David Paul has been promoted to the role of chief meteorologist effective immediately.

Paul joined KHOU in 1996 and became a part of the morning routine for many viewers as the weekday morning meteorologist for more than 15 years. Paul can currently be seen delivering the weather during KHOU 11 News at 4, 5, 6 and 10 p.m.

Paul received a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Texas in Austin and a Bachelor of Science in geosciences from Mississippi State.

Prior to KHOU, Paul worked at WCBD Charleston, S.C., and KPLC Lake Charles, La. He has earned the Seal of Approval from the American Meteorological Society as well as a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) designation.
