KIDS’ WB!’ON THE CW SETS SATURDAY SCHEDULE

Five-hour block kicks off Sept. 23 with the U.S. broadcast premiere of E/I-compliant Krypto the Superdog.

The Kids’ WB! 2006-07 programming slate will feature four new, original shows and the return of four established series when the Saturday morning schedule kicks off on Sept. 23 on The CW.

The five-hour block of programming, created for a target audience of children ages 6-11, will introduce a new generation of young viewers to some of the most iconic characters in animation history via three new series from Warner Bros. Animation: Legion of Super Heroes, based on the DC Comics characters and featuring Superman in an all-new adventure, Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get a Clue! and Tom and Jerry Tales.

Kids’ WB! will also present the U.S. television premiere of Monster Allergy, a new half-hour show based upon the international best-selling comic book series of the same name and produced for TV by Rainbow S.p.A.

The Saturday morning programming block will kick off with two back-to-back episodes of Warner Bros. Animation’s Krypto the Superdog, airing on Kids’WB! for the first time and selected in close consultation with educational media advisor Miki Baumgarten, Ph.D., to ensure it fully meets federally mandated educational and informational (E/I) programming requirements.

Current Kids’ WB! series returning to the fall schedule include The Batman, with Robin—the Boy Wonder—joining the Caped Crusader in his crime-fighting exploits, Loonatics Unleashed and Xiaolin Showdown, all produced by Warner Bros. Animation, and Johnny Test, produced this season by Cookie Jar Entertainment.
