KMBC DEBUTS 24-HOUR WEATHER CHANNEL

Hearst-Argyle ABC affiliate KMBC Kansas City, Mo., today launched a new 24-hour digital channel. First Alert Weather 24 Hours will feature around-the-clock weather content including national forecasts, regional forecasts and breaking weather news provided by AccuWeather Inc.’s Local AccuWeather Channel along with local weather forecasts provided by the KMBC weather team.

“The KMBC Weather Team is focused on providing the timely and relevant weather forecasts our viewers need,” Sherrie Brown, KMBC news director said. “By adding a 24-hour weather channel we’re offering a whole new level of weather coverage with instant access to local forecasts any time.”

First Alert Weather 24 Hours offers a lineup of local, regional, and national forecasts and is available on digital cable systems through Time Warner (ch. 1422), Comcast (ch. 247), and Everest (ch. 611).
