KMIZ Providing Weather To Zimmer Radio

News-Press & Gazette Co.-owned Columbia-Jefferson City, Mo., stations (DMA 138), KMIZ (ABC, MNT and Me-TV)) and KQFX-LD (Fox) and promoted as The Networks of Mid-Missouri are teaming up with The Zimmer Radio and Marketing Group to provide weather updates for Zimmer’s nine radio stations throughout Mid-Missouri. ABC 17 StormTrack Weather Coverage will begin Monday, Feb. 4, on Zimmer radio.

The Zimmer radio group comprises KCLR-FM, KTXY-FM, KSSZ-FM, KCMQ-FM, KTGR-AM-FM, KATI-FM, KWOS-AM, all Columbia, Mo.; KFAL-AM Fulton, Mo.; and KZWV-FM Jefferson City, Mo.

“We appreciate the localism Zimmer brings to Mid-Missouri radio, and we’re excited about proving our award winning ABC 17 StormTrack weather coverage to radio listeners throughout the area” said Gene Steinberg, GM of The Networks of Mid-Missouri.

The ABC 17 StormTrack Weather team is led by Chief Meteorologist Sharon Ray, along with meteorologists Neville Miller and Justin Abraham.

“We are excited about working with the Networks of Mid-Missouri- ABC, FOX, MyZouTV, Me-TV and their new ownership”, said Carla Leible,  General Manager, Zimmer Radio and Marketing Group. “This new arrangement will bring more opportunities for the listeners and viewers across our integrated network of radio stations in Columbia, Jefferson City, Fulton, and Lake of the Ozarks to get the best source for local weather.”
