KMOV To Carry NFL Chiefs Preseason Games

Meredith-owned CBS affiliate KMOV St. Louis (DMA 21) announced today that they will carry all of the Kansas City Chiefs’ preseason football games.

Many St. Louis football fans have adopted the Chiefs as a new home state favorite after the Rams left the city last year for Los Angeles. The Chief’s strong performance last season helped. Kansas City earned a playoff bid after posting a 12-4 record.

“The Chiefs have a big following here in St. Louis,” said Mike Murphy, KMOV GM. “Channel 4 is excited to bring these games to our area for the second year in a row.”

The preseason begins in Kansas City when the Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers. KMOV will broadcast all four games:

• Friday, Aug. 11 — Kansas City Chiefs vs San Francisco 49ers

• Saturday, Aug. 19 — Kansas City Chiefs at Cincinnati Bengals

• Friday, Aug. 25 — Kansas City Chiefs at Seattle Seahawks

• Thursday, Aug. 31 — Kansas City Chiefs vs Tennessee Titans
