KMSP, U. Of Minn. Partner On ‘Richard Pitino Show’

Fox-owned KMSP Minneapolis (DMA 15) and the University of Minnesota have collaborated to produce The Richard Pitino Show, set to debut on Jan. 4. It will broadcast live on Thursday nights at 6:30 p.m. on KMSP with an encore edition at 7:30 p.m. on co-owned WFTC.    

KMSP VP-GM Sheila Oliver said: “We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with the University of Minnesota and provide another weekly coaches show for Gopher Fans. We’ll give viewers a unique perspective that only a coach can provide.”

Hosted by University of Minnesota basketball coach Richard Pitino, KMSP Sports Anchor Hobie Artigue and KFAN’s Justin Gaard, The Richard Pitino Show is a half-hour, live program providing a weekly breakdown of the Minnesota Gophers season. The hosts will analyze highlights from the team’s latest games and offer a glimpse into preparations for upcoming opponents. They will also examine how the team stacks up overall against its competition in the Big 10 conference.  

Richard Pitino has served as head basketball coach at the University of Minnesota since April of 2013. He came to Minnesota after serving as the head coach of Florida International University. In 2017, he was named the Big Ten Coach of the Year.
