KRGV Site Launches On Synapse OPYN Platform

Synapse Multimedia, a provider of online solutions and live streaming video for local media, has launched a new media website — www.krgv.com — and CMS for KRGV, the ABC affiliate in Harlingen-Weslaco-McAllen-Brownsville, Texas (DMA 87).

Synapse Multimedia has provided KRGV with its OPYN Media CMS and OPYN Mobile, which includes Web publishing, live streaming video and controlled hosting fees.

OPYN Media CMS is a Web 2.0 solution that delivers integration of video from production to Web. Both OPYN Media CMS and OPYN Mobile CMS have the ability to stream live news to viewers. According to Synapse, “the ease of use, such as the drag and drop feature, decreases administrative burden associated with updates, while putting the content back into the hands of those who created it.”
