DMA 8: HOUSTON

KRIV To Debut ‘The News Edge At 10 P.M.’

Fox-owned KRIV Houston (DMA 8) will debut The News Edge at 10 p.m. on Aug. 21.

This Monday-Friday half-hour newscast will follow the station’s current late newscast, Fox 26 News at 9 and lead into Fox 26 News Isiah Factor: Uncensored, which will return weeknights at 10:30 p.m. With this expansion, the station will produce 57.5 hours of local news programming each week, more local news than any other station in the market, according to KRIV.

Anchored by Kaitlin Monte, The News Edge at 10 p.m. will offer viewers a fast-paced format, which will “allow the audience to engage with Fox 26 on trending news and topics relevant to them via the station’s various social media channels,” KRIV said.

Kaitlin Monte will also continue to anchor the 5 and 9 p.m. news alongside Jonathan Martin.
