KRON Names Brittney Shipp P.M. Meteorologist

Media General-owned MNT affiliate KRON San Francisco (DMA 6) has added Brittney Shipp as its new weekday evening meteorologist. Shipp’s first on-air day will be Jan. 18.

Shipp will join anchor Pam Moore during KRON4 News from 5 to 7, 8 and 11 p.m. Prior to joining KRON, Shipp was the weekend meteorologist at WCAU Philadelphia. She also filled in for several national programs including NBC’s Early Today and MSNBC’s First Look, Morning Joe and Way Too Early.

Shipp started her career in Arizona, first at NBC’s KYMA Yuma and then KTVK Phoenix.

She earned a degree in international development studies with an emphasis on communications from UCLA. She then completed her Certificate of Broadcast Meteorology at Mississippi State University.
