KSAZ Phoenix To Air Warner Bros.’ ‘TMZ Live’

The Fox O&O will begin a six-week test run of the behind-the-scenes spinoff beginning June 11 at 3 p.m.

Warner Bros. is expanding its TMZ Live test to Fox TV Stations’ KSAZ Phoenix beginning June 11. The six-week test will air at 3 p.m.

TMZ Live is a TMZ spinoff that began a test run on March 12 on Fox’s KTTV Los Angeles where it airs live at 3 p.m. TMZ Live got its start online on TMZ.com.

The show is a behind-the-scenes look at TMZ, both the show and the website, where executive producers Harvey Levin, Charles Latibeaudiere and others discuss breaking celebrity news and chat with guests via Skype, social media and by phone. TMZ Live got its start online on the website UStream.TV.

TMZ Live has been generating respectable ratings for KTTV, where it has averaged a 0.9 household rating with a 3 share since its debut. That’s up from the 0.7/2 that Warner Bros.’ canceled Judge Jeanine Pirro had in the time slot last year. TMZ Live’s lead-in, a rerun of Debmar-Mercury’s Wendy Williams, has a 0.4/1.

Among women 25-54, TMZ Live is averaging a 0.4 rating in L.A., unchanged from Judge Jeanine’s 0.4.

In Phoenix, TMZ Live will take the slot where CBS Television’s Judge Joe Brown now airs.

BRAND CONNECTIONS

TMZ Live isn’t Warner Bros.’ only test this year. The syndicator will begin testing the talk show Bethenny Frankel on six Fox TV Stations beginning June 11. Bethenny is a spinoff of Warner Bros.’ long-running Ellen DeGeneres.
