KSBW Names ‘Ellen’ As ‘Oprah’ Successor

Beginning this fall, the Ellen DeGeneres Show will begin airing at 4 p.m. on Hearst’s NBC affiliate KSBW  Monterey-Salinas-Santa Cruz, Calif.  (DMA 124), when Oprah Winfrey ends her historic 25-year run of the Oprah Winfrey Show on Sept. 9. "Ellen has shown incredible audience growth at 10 a.m. and based on her popularity, she is the natural successor to the coveted 4 o'clock time period," said Joseph W. Heston, KSBW president-GM. “We are confident that the next show we program to replace Ellen’s 10 a.m. slot will be a winner, too” Heston added.
