KSHB Adding Weekday 6:30 P.M. Newscast

Scripps-owned NBC affiliate KSHB Kansas City (DMA 33) will introduce a new newscast to its early primetime fringe lineup on Sept. 12.

News anchor Rhiannon Ally and Chief Meteorologist Gary Lezak will host the new program weekdays at 6:30 p.m.

KSHB will now offer seven-and-a-half hours of local news every weekday. This complements an around-the-clock presence across digital platforms including KSHB.com, the KSHB mobile app and all leading social media platforms.  

With the addition of the new newscast, the current program in the 6:30 timeslot, the syndicated The List, moves to KSHB’s sister station KMCI where it will at 9 p.m.
