KSHB Names Rhiannon Ally Co-Anchor

Scripps-owned NBC affiliate KSHB Kansas City (DMA 31) has named Rhiannon Ally evening co-anchor, effective June 15.

Ally most recently was morning and noon co-anchor at WFOR Miami. She is the wife of KSHB co-anchor Mike Marusarz, making them the first husband and wife anchor team in the history of local news in Kansas City, according to the station.

She will initially co-anchor 41 Action News at 5 and 6 p.m. alongside Marusarz. Christa Dubill will co-anchor The NOW Kansas City at 4 p.m. with current anchor Justin Wilfon.

In addition to her work at WFOR, Ally has been an entertainment reporter and morning show anchor for WCBS New York, as well as an anchor and reporter for KCTV Kansas City.

She began her on-air career in Topeka, Kan., as a morning anchor at WIBW, where she won a Kansas Association of Broadcasters Award for Best Morning Show and was voted one of Topeka’s Favorite Television Personalities.

A Kansas City Metro native, Ally attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
