KSTW Ups Steve Gahler To VP-GM

Veteran local television station executive Steve Gahler has been promoted to vice president and general manager of KSTW, the CBS Television Station group’s CW affiliate in Seattle (DMA 13).

Gahler has been KSTW’s station manager and director of sales at KSTW since November 2006. He joined the station as general sales manager in April 2006.

“Steve has done an outstanding job of leading our local operations and growing our business at KSTW, which continues to be one of the top-performing affiliates of The CW,” said Peter Dunn, president, CBS Television Stations. “His leadership abilities, knowledge of the market and strong relationships with clients have served us well and we are pleased to recognize his many contributions to our ongoing success with this promotion.”

Gahler joined KSTW following nearly four years with KOMO, the ABC affiliate in Seattle, where he initially was national sales manager and then was promoted to local sales manager.

A graduate of the University of Minnesota, Gahler first worked for the CBS Television Stations group as an account executive for WCCO Minneapolis-St. Paul. He also worked in the Twin Cities as an account executive for KMSP and WFTC.
