He returns to the Tribune San Diego Fox affiliate where he filled the same general sales manager role in 1996-2001.
KSWB Names Kelly McMackin GSM
Tribune Broadcasting’s Fox affiliate KSWB San Diego (DMA 28) today named Kelly McMackin general sales manager. As GSM, McMackin will oversee the station’s sales strategy including local and national sales, new business and digital sales. He will begin on May 5 and report to Don Corsini, president-GM and Scott Heath, VP-station manager.
This isn’t McMackin first stint at the station; he served as general sales manager of KSWB from 1996 to 2001, where he built the sales department from the ground up as the station rebranded itself under Tribune’s ownership.
Most recently, McMackin was director of national sales and digital media for Cox Communications, overseeing sales as well as a suite of advanced advertising solutions including cox.com, interactive media, video on demand, local search and niche channels.
Prior to his role at Cox, McMackin was the VP of cause marketing and media partnerships for Kintera, a software provider for the nonprofit community.
McMackin holds an MBA from San Diego State University.
