KTEN Names Tom Crespo News Director

Lockwood Broadcast Group’s NBC affiliate KTEN Denison, Texas (DMA 161) on Monday hired Tom Crespo as news director. Crespo will also serve as anchor of the station’s weekday evening newscasts. He joins the station from in-market KXII.

Crespo was born in New Orleans and is a graduate of Louisiana State University with a degree in journalism. He began his career in Meridian, Miss., with stops in Tallahassee, Fla.; Augusta, Ga.; Jacksonville, Fla.; and Dallas.

Crespo has covered stories ranging from the devastating tornado that ravaged Fort Worth in 2000 to the breakup of the space shuttle Columbia over Texas in 2003. On 9/11 he anchored for 19 hours.
