KTLM Promotes Yulieth Botello To Video Journalist
Telemundo affiliate KTLM Harlingen-Weslaco-Brownsville-McAllen, Texas (DMA 86), on Thursday named Yulieth Botello a video journalist for Noticias Telemundo 40 weekdays at 5 and 10 p.m.
Botello’s first day on air was Tuesday, Oct. 21. She joins news co-anchors Hugo Magallan and Dalila Garza, weather anchor Elizabeth Robaina, sports anchor Hector Zapata and entertainment reporter Mayra Galvan.
Botello has worked at Telemundo 40 as a production assistant and assistant assignment desk editor since May. She received her bachelor’s degree in communications and journalism from the University of Texas-Pan American.
Last month, KTLM announced an expansion to its local news operation by welcoming a new team of anchors and expanding its live news coverage on weekdays at 10 p.m. and on weekends at 4:30 and 10 p.m. Earlier this year, KTLM became the 17th Spanish-language station of the Telemundo Station Group, a division of NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations.
