KTTV Poised To Launch 5 P.M. Newscast

The Los Angeles Fox O&O begins its new hour weekday broadcast on Monday, Sept. 12.

Fox O&O KTTV Los Angeles will debut a new 5 p.m. weekday newscast called Studio 11 LA on Monday, Sept. 12.

The hour-long broadcast will focus on local and national headlines plus in-depth reports by KTTV reporters and local contributors on local news and issues in weather, politics, lifestyle, and entertainment. Regular segments will include strong opinions and analysis on local issues.

The newscast will be co-anchored by Jeff Michael.  He will be joined by reporters Liz Habib, Ed Laskos and entertainment and lifestyle anchor, Lisa Breckenridge, who will contribute entertainment reports.

Chris Lemire will serve as the newscast’s executive producer.  Previously, Lemire was senior producer on Fox News Channel’s The Big Story with John Gibson, The Weekend Fox Report and The Fox Report with Shepard Smith. Prior to that, he was weekend news producer at Fox O&O WNYW New York and news producer at its KDFW Dallas. Most recently, he was a supervising producer for Game On with John Salley on ReelzChannel.

Yet another Fox O&O bowing to the wishes of King Ailes. I see 0.5 demo rating in their future.

    0.5… that’s WFLD’s ratings for their unwatchable newscasts. Thank God they’re not adding another hour here in Chicago.

    the last serious tv newscast I saw was KNBC, about 1974, with the exception of some early CNN work (and breaking news.)
