KTVD To Air Live Gubernatorial, Senate Debates

Gannett-owned NBC affiliate KUSA Denver (DMA 17) will host a series of televised political debates, including candidates for both the U.S. Senate and for Governor of the state of Colorado. Both hour-long debates will air live and commercial-free on Gannett’s co-owned MNT affiliate KTVD and will also be streamed live on KUSA’s website 9NEWS.com.

The debate between incumbent Democratic Governor John Hickenlooper and Republican challenger, former Representative Bob Beauprez, will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, at the Colorado State University Lory Student Center Theater.

The debate for the U.S. Senate seat between incumbent Democratic Senator Mark Udall and Republican challenger, Representative Cory Gardner, will take place at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 15, at the KUSA Studios.

The debates will be moderated by KUSA political reporter Brandon Rittiman and KUSA anchor Kyle Clark.  The gubernatorial debate will also feature questions from the Fort Collins Coloradoan and students at CSU.
