KTVT Names Frosini Reporter, Drolen Traffic Anchor

Traffic Anchor Teresa Frosini will take on a new role at CBS O&O KTVT Dallas (DMA 5) as a reporter beginning next month. She will focus on special news reports, arts and entertainment news, and features such as the “Texans With Character” profiles she currently produces and hosts.

Whitney Drolen, who joins KTVT from CBS-owned KCBS-KCAL in Los Angeles, will become the traffic anchor for CBS 11 News This Morning, weekdays from 4:30 to 7 a.m.

Frosini has been the station’s traffic anchor since May 2006. Prior to that, she was a fill-in traffic anchor at KXAS.

Drolen is currently the traffic reporter at KCBS and KCAL. She began her career as a morning show anchor/reporter at WVVA Bluefield, W.Va., and went on to work as a weekend anchor/reporter at WTAE  Pittsburgh.  Drolen relocated to Southern California in 2006, where she worked for E! Entertainment Television, Fox Movie Channel and Comcast before joining KCBS-KCAL.

A native of Chicago, Drolen was raised in Southern California. She received her bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Chapman University in Orange, Calif.
