KTVU News Expands In A.M., Adds 4 P.M.

With these two moves, the Fox O&O in San Francisco-Oakland adds 7.5 hours of local news per week.

Fox-owned KTVU San Francisco-Oakland will debut KTVU Fox 2 News at 4 p.m. this summer and expand the weekday morning newscast, Mornings on 2 on April 20. The station’s morning newscast will now begin a half-hour earlier at 4 a.m.  

In making the announcement, VP-News Director Dana Hahn said: “This expansion furthers our commitment as the news leader in San Francisco. We will continue to adapt to meet the needs of our viewers with local news where and when they want it.” 

KTVU Fox 2 News at 4 p.m. will be an hour-long, fast-paced newscast that will focus on the day’s local and national headlines. The program will also feature in-depth reports by KTVU reporters and local contributors.
