KVOA Adds Two To Its News Anchor Lineup

Cordillera Communications-owned NBC affiliate KVOA Tucson, Ariz. (DMA 70), announced Wednesday that Rebecca Taylor and Allison Alexander will be joining its news team.

Rebecca Taylor rejoins KVOA from Nashville, where she has been a business manager for Christian Dior and worked in the country music entertainment industry since leaving Tucson in October 2010. A Tucson native, Taylor will co-anchor the station’s weekend newscasts with Brandon Gunnoe and file reports during the week.

Taylor is a graduate of the University of Arizona and worked at KMSB Tucson and KTVK Phoenix before her first stint at KVOA in October 2007. Her first day is expected to be March 21.

Allison Alexander joins KVOA from KTVK Phoenix where she was a morning news anchor. Alexander was previously a weekend anchor at KGUN Tucson and also held anchor posts at WLNE Providence, R.I.; WOIO Cleveland; KSLA Shreveport, La.; and KTEN Sherman, Texas.

A graduate of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University, Alexander will anchor KVOA’s noon and 4 p.m. weekday newscasts.
