KXRM Names Scott Kilbury Weeknight Anchor

Media General-owned Fox affiliate KXRM Colorado Springs (DMA 88) has hired Scott Kilbury for its weeknight anchor team starting Oct. 31.

Kilbury is an Edward R. Murrow and Emmy award-winning news anchor with more than two decades of broadcasting experience.

He will join Lauren Ferrara and Abbie Burke to co-anchor weeknights at 5, 6:30, 9 and 10 pm.  

While Kilbury earned his degree in journalism at the University of Arizona, he reported for the school’s KUAT-FM Tucson, Ariz., and began his television career as an interning producer at KVOA Tucson.

At the same time, he was a teaching parent for the hearing-impaired students at the Arizona State School for the Deaf and Blind. Kilbury is fluent in American Sign Language.
