KYW-WPSG Names Arsdall Weekend Sports Anchor

Lesley Van Arsdall has been named weekend sports anchor at CBS’s duopoly in Philadelphia (DMA 4), KYW (CBS) and WPSG (CW).

Van Arsdall has been filling in on the sports desk since late last year. Before joining the sports department full-time, she was most recently co-anchor of KYW’s weekend morning newscasts.

Van Arsdall joined the Eyewitness News in team in 2003 as a general assignment reporter. Before joining KYW, she had been general assignment reporter and anchor at co-owned KYW-AM.

Van Arsdall began her broadcasting career at WBUX-AM Doylestown, Pa., in 1997.  She also served stints as sports anchor and general assignment reporter for various cable stations and as an entertainment reporter at Comcast’s CN8.

A graduate of Philadelphia’s University of Pennsylvania, Van Arsdall earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications.
