Latifah ‘Burnett Show’ Reunion Draws Viewers

Queen Latifah’s The Carol Burnett Show reunion with Carol Burnett, Tim Conway, Vicki Lawrence, Lyle Waggoner and designer Bob Mackie on Tuesday, May 20, was a big draw among viewers.

Overnight households ratings for Tuesday’s Latifah rose 27% from the week before to a 1.4 rating/4 share average in its 56 metered markets, according to Nielsen.

The show did best among the top 20 markets in New York, where ratings rose 83% from the prior Tuesday and 57% from last May to a 2.2/9 Tuesday on WCBS at 9 a.m.

In Los Angeles, Queen Latifah‘s ratings jumped 44% from the prior Tuesday and 62% from last year at this time to a 1.3/4 on KCBS at 2 p.m.  In addition, the show was No. 1 in its time period in L.A. among women 25-54 on Tuesday with a 0.7/5 demo rating, up 75% from both prior week and prior year.

In other news, Nielsen is advising that national syndication ratings are expected to be delayed by one day in each of the next two weeks (due to the upcoming Memorial Day holiday). So, ratings should be released on Wednesday, May 28, and Wednesday, June 4, instead of Tuesday, May 27, and Tuesday, June 3.
