Leigh White Named KTXL Sacramento VP-GM

Tribune’s California Fox affiliate promotes its veteran sales director.

Tribune Broadcasting’s Fox affiliate KTXL Sacramento, Calif., (DMA 20), today announced the promotion of Leigh White to vice president and general manager. She will oversee all aspects of the station, including strategic planning and day-to-day operations.

White was most recently the station’s director of sales where she supervised the station’s sales efforts, including local and national sales, new business and digital sales. She will continue to report to Kathy Clements, Tribune Broadcasting’s COO.

White succeeds Jerry Del Core who left the station at the end of May.

 Prior to joining Tribune Broadcasting, White was director of sales at WCNC Charlotte, N.C. White has also was the general sales manager of WBIR Knoxville, Tenn.; WTVX, WTCN and WWHB in West Palm Beach Fla; VP-GM of WDBD, WUFX and WXMS Jackson, Miss.; and held several posts at WJTV Jackson, Miss., including general sales manager, national sales manager and local sales manager.

White attended the University of Minnesota where she majored in speech communications.
