Live Well Adds Three More Major Markets

KSL Salt Lake City, WBIN Boston and low-power WBGN-CA Pittsburgh are the latest stations to join the multicast network’s affiliate lineup, boosting U.S. coverage to over 50%.

The Live Well Network — the broadcast, online and wireless service for multicast TV channels owned by the ABC Owned Television Stations Group — today announced affiliation agreements with Bonneville International’s KSL Salt Lake City (DMA 33), Carlisle One Media’s WBIN Boston-Manchester (DMA 7)and Bruno-Goodworth Network’s low-power WBGN-CA Pittsburgh (DMA 23).

All three stations will launch the fast-growing lifestyle programming service on January 1.

“The addition of these important new affiliates in Salt Lake City, Boston-Manchester, and Pittsburgh demonstrates the far-reaching appeal of the Live Well Network as we roll out across the country and now cover more than half of all U.S. television households,” said Peggy Allen, Live Well’s VP of programming.

Belo Corp.’s KING Seattle and KSKN Spokane also will sign on with the Live Well Network on Jan. 1, as previously announced. Currently carrying the Live Well Network are the eight ABC Owned Television Stations, all 10 Scripps Television Station Group properties, five other Belo Corp. stations, and various stations owned by Journal Broadcasting Group, Allbritton Communications, Gannett Broadcasting, Bonten Media Group, Great Plains TV, Lilly Broadcasting, LKK Group and Quincy Newspapers.
