Live Well Net Adds Two More Belo Stations

The addition of KING Seattle and KSKN Spokane brings the multicast network’s total clearance to about 50% of U.S. TV households.

The Live Well Network — the broadcast, online and wireless service for multicast TV channels owned by the ABC Owned Television Stations Group — today announced affiliation agreements with two more Belo Corp. television stations. KING Seattle (DMA 12) and KSKN Spokane, Wash. (DMA 73), will launch the lifestyle programming service on Jan. 1, 2012, joining five other Belo stations carrying the Live Well Network for more than a year.

In addition to these Belo Corp. stations, other affiliates of the Live Well Network include the eight ABC Owned Television Stations, all 10 Scripps Television Station Group properties, and various stations owned by Journal Broadcasting Group, Allbritton Communications, Gannett Broadcasting, Bonten Media Group, Great Plains TV, Lilly Broadcasting, LKK Group and Quincy Newspapers.

“We’re proud to welcome Belo Corp’s Seattle and Spokane stations as new affiliates for 2012 — also extending the Live Well Network’s coverage to about half of all U.S. TV households,”  said Peggy Allen, VP, the Live Well Network. “This is especially gratifying since Belo Corp. was first to affiliate with the network in November  2010, when the Live Well Network began rolling out nationwide beyond the ABC Owned Television Stations Group.”
