Luis Hernández New GM of KVDA San Antonio

ZGS Communications announced today that Luis Hernández has been named VP-GM of its Telemundo affiliate KVDA San Antonio, Texas (DMA 36). He succeeds Eddie Romero who left earlier this month.

Hernández has more than 20 years’ experience in the broadcasting industry and is returning to the station where he began his media career as a local account executive. Hernández will report to Ronald J. Gordon, Chairman and CEO of ZGS Communications.

Hernández most recently was VP-GM of Azteca America affiliate KAZD Dallas. Prior to that, he held a variety of leadership roles at Univision including general manager of its stations in Denver and Albuquerque, N.M., and general sales manager in Dallas and El Paso, Texas.

He is an active member of the Texas Broadcasters Association.
