Luken Sets Cross-Network Veterans Day Event

On Tuesday, Nov. 11, Luken Communications, in cooperation with One Eighty Films and X Factor Entertainment Group, will present the broadcast premiere of the feature film Everyman’s War. This primetime Veterans Day event will be simulcast on Luken Communications’ networks Retro TV, The Heartland Network, TUFF TV and The Family Channel beginning at 8 p.m. ET.

Everyman’s War, directed by Thad Smith and starring Cole Carson, Sean McGrath, Eric Martin Reid, Drew Waters and Lauren Blair, is the true story of Sgt. Don Smith’s heroic experience at the Battle of the Bulge. Everyman’s War won the G.I. Film Festival “Best Narrative Film” award and has been distributed in 43 countries and translated into 5 languages.

Terri Coyle, Luken Communications’ director of programming, says: “We are grateful for the opportunity to showcase the heroism and valor of our armed forces on this Veterans Day. Our partnership with One Eighty Films offers us a unique venue to honor and support those who risk everything for our liberty and protection.”

The story Everyman’s War presents is a very personal one for the film’s director, Thad Smith. “While Everyman’s War is the story of my father and his time during the Battle of the Bulge, it is indicative of the sacrifices and hardships faced by all veterans of the greatest generation when faced with the horrors of war.”

Throughout the film, viewers will have the opportunity to purchase Everyman’s War on DVD. Proceeds from DVD sales throughout the Veterans Day event will benefit the Semper Fi Fund. The Semper Fi Fund provides immediate financial assistance and lifetime support to post-9/11 wounded and injured members of all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families, ensuring that they have the resources they need during their recovery and transition back to their communities.
