Maldonado Is New Univision Chicago Anchor
Erika Maldonado, who has been filling in as co-anchor of Univision O&O WGBO Chicago’s evening and nightly newscasts since October, has been given the job permanently.
A 10-year veteran of the station, Maldonado has been honored with five Emmy Awards for outstanding reporting as well as with other recognitions, including a nomination for the Peter Lisagor Awards for Exemplary Journalism. She joined Univision Chicago in 2004 after completing an internship at Univision Miami.
