Marcus Washington New KNTV Morning Anchor

NBC-owned KNTV San Francisco (DMA 6) has named Marcus Washington the station’s weekday morning anchor.

Washington will anchor KNTV’s morning newscast Today in the Bay and make his on-air debut on Aug. 16, joining Laura Garcia Cannon and Kari Hall.

Washington joins KNTV after working as a reporter and anchor for both WJZ Baltimore and WTVF Nashville for several years. Washington’s career has taken him across the country, starting as a radio personality for WUMR-FM in Memphis and later reporting news in Charlottesville, Va., and Tulsa, Okla.

Washington is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Memphis.
