Mayasich Joins WTIC- WCCT As Sales Dir.

Former Phoenix Gannett exec Dan Mayasich is tapped by Tribune to head sales at its Hartford, Conn., Fox-CW duopoly.

Tribune Broadcasting’s duopoly in Hartford, Conn. (DMA 30), WTIC (Fox) and WCCT (CW), today announced Dan Mayasich will join the station as director of sales where he will local and national sales, new business and digital sales.

He will begin his new role on Feb. 15 and report to Jon Hitchcock, VP-GM. 

Mayasich was previously the Director of Broadcast Sales for Republic Media, the sales operation that combined the assets of all Gannett Phoenix properties, including KPNX, The Arizona Republic and azcentral.com.

He also was general manager of KPXM Minneapolis and previously held several executive leadership positions for Petry Television including VP-regional area manager in Detroit and Minneapolis, VP-sales manager in Minneapolis and sales manager in Denver.

Mayasich holds a B.A. in journalism and mass communications from the University of Minnesota, and has completed executive leadership training through Gannett and Petry Television.
