McMahon New KHBS-KHOG National Sales Mgr.

Joe McMahon today was named national sales manager of KHBS-KHOG, Hearst Television’s ABC affiliate serving the Fayetteville and Fort Smith, Arkansas television market (DMA 101). The new post is effective May 22.

“Joe and I formed a strong bond while he excelled as my National Sales Manager at Cox Media,” said KHBS-KHOG President-GM Shawn A. Oswald. “Joe’s creative sales strategies led to excellent results while at Cox, and I firmly believe his local market experience will serve our station and clients well for years to come.”

McMahon most recently was a local account executive at KFSM/KXNW Fayetteville/Fort Smith. Also, for nearly seven years, McMahon was national/regional sales manager for Cox Media.

McMahon’s career also includes selling for National Cable Communications in Kansas City, and serving as general manager of radio station groups in New Mexico, California and Nevada.

He is a graduate of the University of Kansas.
