Me-TV Adds Affils In Anchorage, Bangor

Me-TV, Memorable Entertainment Television, has signed affiliation agreements with KACN-LP, Anchorage, Alaska (DMA 146), and WBGR-LP, Bangor, Maine (DMA 153).

KACN, owned by North Star Television Network, will launch on April 24 and be seen on over-the-air ch. 38, digital ch. 33.3, GCI Cable 95 and Dish 38.

WBGR, owned by Maine Family Broadcasting, will launch in late April and be seen on over-the-air ch. 33 and Time Warner Cable ch. 12.

“Affiliating with Me-TV is one of the best experiences to happen to Alaska TV viewers in many years,” said KACN President Dan Etulain. “Residents in this exceptional territory known as ‘The Last Frontier’ currently lack TV programming choices that are family friendly. That’ll change when Me-TV launches later this month in Anchorage, Alaska. We’re looking forward to watching the classic television that the network is known for across the country in the Lower 48.”

“WBGR was founded on the concept of providing our community with programming that the whole family can enjoy together without concern about content that is destructive,” said James McLeod, owner of WBGR. “We are extremely excited about our new relationship with Me-TV, knowing that their programming is some of the greatest family-friendly classics of all time. Even my kids love to see shows like Gilligan’s Island, Hogan’s Heroes and F-Troop. It is a privilege to bring wholesome classics, for the entire family, to the Bangor area.”
