Media Stars To Shine At Golden Mike Award

Roger Ailes, David Barrett, Donald Graham and Brian Williams are among those helping honor Post-Newsweek’s Alan Frank on Feb. 28.

A veritable “Who’s Who” of media executives and stars will be on hand to present the 2011 Golden Mike Award to Alan W. Frank, president-CEO of Post-Newsweek Stations, on Monday, Feb. 28, at The Plaza Hotel in New York City. More than 300 broadcast industry professionals are expected to attend.

Joining Inside Edition anchor Deborah Norville, the host of this year’s show, will be Roger Ailes, chairman-CEO Officer, Fox News and chairman, Fox Television Stations; David Barrett, president-CEO, Hearst Television;  Donald Graham, chairman-CEO Officer, The Washington PostCo.; and Brian Williams, anchor, NBC Nightly News.

The entertainment this year will be Lamont Dozier, one-third of the famous Motown songwriting team, Holland Dozier & Holland. The trio churned out a massive stream of hits for the Supremes, the Four Tops, the Temptations, Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, The Marvelettes, and Marvin Gaye.

Bestowed annually to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the radio and television industries and to the community at large, the Golden Mike Award helps raise funds for the Broadcasters Foundation of America, whose mission is to help broadcasters in desperate need.
