Meredith Names News Chief, New Portland GM

Patrick McCreery, VP-GM of KPTV-KPDX Portland, Ore., is promoted to Meredith Local Media Group news and marketing VP. Succeeding him is Andy Delaporte, the duopoly’s sales director.

The Meredith Local Media Group today promoted Patrick McCreery, VP-GM of KPTV (Fox)-KPDX (MNT) Portland, Ore. (DMA 22), to a newly created role, local media group vice president of news and marketing.

McCreery has been with the station for more than a decade, serving in a variety of roles including station manager, news director and assistant news director. McCreery also worked at KPHO Phoenix as a special projects executive producer when he first joined Meredith in 2003.

To replace McCreery, Andy Delaporte, director of sales at KPTV-KPDX, has been named VP-GM. Delaporte has been with the stations since 2005 in various sales and management roles.

Prior to 2005, he held a variety of positions in radio broadcasting at Entercom Communications in Portland and KUIK-AM Hillsboro, Oregon.

Both promotions are effective immediately. McCreery will be based in Phoenix.
