Meteorologist Allison Rogers Joins WLWT

Hearst-owned NBC affiliate WLWT Cincinnati (DMA 36) on Wednesday appointed Allison Rogers weekend meteorologist.

She comes to WLWT from WYMT, the CBS affiliate in Hazard, Ky., where she not only handled her daily forecasting duties, but also served as a reporter.

Rogers graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in geoscience. She has also earned the AMS, CBM and NWA seals of approval for her forecasting.

Rogers grew up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, where her family endured Hurricane Katrina, the devastating event she says solidified her desire to become a meteorologist.
