Meteorologist Angelica Campos Joins KGTV

E.W. Scripps-owned ABC affiliate KGTV San Diego (DMA 28) has hired meteorologist Angelica Campos to be its weeknight weather forecaster.  Campos is making the move from WJW Cleveland, and will begin forecasting on KGTV beginning Monday, June 15.

Prior to working in Cleveland, she was a forecaster for AccuWeather, where she gained experience covering weather across America, throughout much of the Northern Hemisphere, and down into Central and South America.

Campos has appeared on numerous national networks, including Fox News, the Fox Business Channel, Bloomberg, and ABC World.  Fluent in Spanish, she has presented forecasts on TV stations in Puerto Rico and Northeastern Mexico, as well as on several Univision stations in California including in Fresno, Monterey and San Francisco.

Campos holds a Bachelor of Science degree in geosciences and broadcasting meteorology from Mississippi State University, and a degree in mass communications from the University of West Georgia. She is a member of the National Weather Association.
