Meteorologist Garry Frank Joins WXMI Grand Rapids

Tribune Broadcasting’s Fox affiliate WXMI Grand Rapids, Mich. (DMA 40), has hired Garry Frank as a meteorologist for its Fox 17 Morning News.

Frank will be introduced during the morning news broadcast on Thursday, April 16, with Friday, April 17 being the first Fox 17 Morning News broadcast featuring Frank in his new role.

Frank comes to the station from KSWT, the CBS affiliate in Yuma, Ariz., where he was the chief meteorologist.

Originally from Kansas City, Mo., Frank attended the University of Missouri to study meteorology, graduating in 2010.

He began his career in the weather department at KMBC Kansas City before joining KSWT.
