Meteorologist Scott Hetsko Joins WHAM-WUHF

ABC affiliate WHAM and Fox affiliate WUHF Rochester, N.Y. (DMA 76) have added veteran broadcast meteorologist Scott Hetsko to the stations’ on-air team effective Sept. 12. Hetsko becomes the newest member of the 13WHAM News Weather Authority, joining chief meteorologist Glenn Johnson, Marty Snyder and Mark McLean.

Hetsko will anchor weather during the stations’ 10 and 11 p.m. newscasts. Additionally, plans are being developed for an all-digital show that he will co-host with WHAM reporter Matt Molloy.

Chief meteorologist Glenn Johnson will continue to lead weather coverage during the 5, 5:30 and 6 p.m. broadcasts, and he is adding the midday newscast to his duties.

Hetsko spent the past 17 years at WROC Rochester. He began his career at WYOU Scranton, Pa., while completing his studies in meteorology.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in meteorology from Penn State University, and he also has a degree in broadcast journalism from Luzerne County College.
