Michelle Chism Named WBAL Assistant N.D.
Michelle Chism today was named assistant news director of Hearst Television’s NBC affiliate WBAL Baltimore, effective July 20.
Chism has been assistant news director of KVUE Austin, Texas, since April 2013. Her broadcast journalism career spans more than 25 years and includes various positions at stations in Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri, New Mexico and Texas.
Michelle joins Tim Tunison, who was promoted to news director in January 2015 after serving more than 10 years as assistant news director at WBAL-TV.
A native of Hattieville, Ark., Chism is a graduate of Arkansas State University.
