Miguel Varoni Named Telemundo Creative Director

Telemundo today promoted Miguel Varoni to VP-creative director of Telemundo Studios and Telemundo International Studios, where he will work on scripted projects targeting the U.S. Hispanic and Latin American markets.

In addition, Varoni will continue to be an exclusive talent, both as an actor and director on Telemundo’s productions. He reports to Luis Silberwasser, president, Telemundo Network and Universo Channel and continues to be based in Miami. 

Varoni will continue to be part of the Telemundo Studios leadership team, and will also join the development team at Telemundo International Studios, led by Marcos Santana, president of Telemundo International.  Previously, Varoni was creative director for Telemundo Studios.

Varoni is a director and actor who has worked on many of Telemundo’s most popular productions, including directing the first and second season of Señora Acero and, most recently, directing and starring in the romantic comedy La Fan.

His additional on-screen credits include: Dueños del Paraíso, Marido en Alquiler, Corazón Valiente, La Casa de al Lado, Ojo por Ojo, Decisiones and Te voy a Enseñar a Querer, among others. He is also a two-time host of the Billboard Latin Music Awards.
