More Talk In The Works For Craig Ferguson

The exiting host of the Late Late Show is said to be working with Tribune Media on a 7 p.m. offering for 2015.

Craig Ferguson is developing a half-hour, syndicated 7 p.m. talk show with Tribune Media for fall 2015, according to several sources. It will air on Tribune Media’s 42 television stations including WPIX New York, KTLA Los Angeles and WGN Chicago. The Tribune stations reach 50 million homes.

Ferguson, who is leaving CBS’s late night talk show Late Late Show this year, will take with him that show’s sidekick Josh Robert Thompson, who voices the robot Geoff, and executive producer Michael Naidus.

Tribune will partner with a distributor to sell the syndicated show to stations beyond its own. A likely partner is Debmar-Mercury whose syndicated Celebrity Name Game is hosted by Ferguson. Celebrity is debuting this fall.

Spokespeople for Tribune and Debmar-Mercury declined to comment.
