Morgan Kolkmeyer Joins WGN As Weather Anchor

Morgan Kolkmeyer is joining Tribune’s WGN Chicago (DMA 3) as a meteorologist and WGN Morning News weather anchor, weekdays from 4 to 6 a.m.

Kolkmeyer will join WGN Morning News in late May, and replaces Demetrius Ivory, who is now meteorologist and weather reporter for WGN Midday News and WGN Evening News at 4 pm.

Before joining WGN, Kolkmeyer was a meteorologist and weather reporter for WREX Rockford, Ill., for the past three years. She previously worked at KQDS Duluth, Minn as a meteorologist and reporter.

Originally from Rockford, Kolkmeyer graduated from Northern Illinois Uuniversity in DeKalb with a BS in meteorology and a minor in applied mathematics.
